Tullu pump seizure drive to Low-Pressure Water Cases on the Rise Despite Increased Potable Water Supply
: Despite efforts to supply more than the usual amount of potable water to the city, cases of low-pressure water supply are escalating. The onset of summer and the intense “navtappa” period have dramatically increased the demand for water. In response, many residents have resorted to using tools and methods to extract more water from their supply taps.
One of the primary issues contributing to the low-pressure water supply is the rampant use of Tullu pumps by consumers. These pumps, particularly the 0.5 HP models, draw water directly from House Service Connection (HSC) taps, significantly reducing the water pressure for neighboring households connected to the same pipeline. This practice not only disrupts the equitable distribution of water but also creates severe low-pressure pockets in areas that typically receive adequate water supply.
