आज की वर्तमान परिस्थिती को देखते हुये पानी की समस्या बिकट है. इस पृथ्वी पर सभी मानव जाती-प्राणी जाती पानी के बगैर नही रह सकते. पानी की वजह से ही शरीर मे काफी बिमारिया होती है.यदी हमे स्वच्छ पानी मिले तो शायद हमारा देश स्वस्थ-निरोगी बन सकता है. पेड और पानी का संबंध बहोतही निकटतम है. जमीन मे यदी पानी की मात्रा बढानी हो तो सभी सोसायटी-कॉलनी मे रेन वाटर हार्वेस्टिंग करणा अनिवार्य है और साथ ही मे ज्यादा से ज्यादा ऑक्सिजनयुक्त पेड लगाने की भी जरुरत है, जिससे हमे शुद्ध पानी व शुद्ध ऑक्सिजन एक ही जगह मिल सकता है. हमने हमारे कॉलनी मे ऑक्सिजनयुक्त पेड लगाये है और उन्हे बढाये भी है, जिसकी जानकारी मनपा सुप्रींटेंडंट को भी दी गयी है।
नागपूर को स्वच्छ पानी देणे के लिये ओ. सी. डब्ल्यू. और नागपूर महानगरपालिका काफी प्रयासरत है, जिनका मै आभारी हू.

The most precious of all resources, water, is the depleting at a rate that should scare us all. It is unfortunate to see how negligent we have been towards the conservation and efficient management of water till this long. But it is still not too late. Better late than never. Let’s come together, be vigilant and play our role sincerely in saving water from further depletion. All the life forms on the earth’s surface- animal, plants, insects, human being require water for consumption & other purpose in the functioning of their daily lives. Fresh & potable water is necessary for use & survival. Water that is not potable is used for agriculture purpose; these include farming, harvest & irrigation. The entire earth consists of 71% water out of which only a small percentage is drinkable fresh water. It is therefore very essential to save water to save lives. Working with OCW has been a great experience. It’s team is very good and the management is extremely helpful. They are doing appreciable work for awareness about water conservation. We can save water through small steps like avoiding shower and using bucket instead. We can be our own leak detectors and check for any leakages in and around our house. पृथ्वीवरील एकूण पाण्याच्या केवल १% पाणी पिण्याच्या उपयोगाचे आहे. आपण सर्वांनी मिळून पाणीसंवर्धनाची कास धरली पाहिजे. चला सर्व मिळून धावते पाणी चालते करूया, चालते पाणी रांगते करूया, रांगते पाणी थांबते करूया, थांबलेले पाणी जमिनीत जिरवूया!
मी हजारीपहाड येथील रहिवासी आहे. या भागात आम्ही १९९७ पासून भीषण पाणीटंचाई बघितलेली आहे. नळावर लांबच लांब रांगा लागत असत. मात्र OCWकडे पाण्याची जबाबदारी देण्यात आल्या पासून आमच्या पाण्याच्या समस्येचे पूर्णपणे निराकरण झालेले आहे. आता घरोघरी नळ देण्यात आलेले आहेत, शुद्ध पाणी मिळू लागले आहे. सोबत पाण्याचे मीटर्स देखील लागले असल्याने सर्व लोक पाण्याचा जपून वापर करतात. त्यामुळे पाण्याची बचत होते व गैरवापर होत नाही. आम्ही सर्व नागरिक OCWचे अत्यंत आभारी आहोत. …

पाणी हा मानवी जीवनाचा मुलभूत घटक आहे. पाणी नसेल तर संपूर्ण जीवसृष्टीचे अस्तित्वच धोक्यात येईल. आपल्या दैनंदिन जीवनात पाण्याचे अपार महत्व आहे. शारीरिक तापमानाचा समतोल राखण्यासाठी पाण्याचा उपयोग होतो. पाणी आपले जीवन आहे. पण आपण या जीवनाचा आदर राखतो का? देशातील पाण्याचे स्रोत दुषित होत चालले आहेत.हे स्रोत आपण आपल्या हाताने नष्ट करत चाललो आहोत का? पुढील पिढ्यांसाठी आपण प्रदूषित नद्या, दुषित पाण्यामुळे होणारे रोग हा वारसा ठेऊन जाणार आहोत का? याचा प्रत्येक सुज्ञ माणसाने विचार करायला हवा. पाण्याचा प्रत्येक थेंब महत्वाचा आहे. महिनोन्महिने दुष्काळी परिस्थितीचा सामना करणाऱ्या लोकांचा विचार करून प्रत्येक थेंब वाचविण्याचा प्रयत्न करा. त्याबाबत जनजागृती करा. अशाप्रकारे नियोजन केले तरच आपल्याला पाण्याचे महत्व समजले असे म्हणता येईल.

नागपुर महानगर पालिका तसेच O C W ची मी गेल्या तीन वर्षांपासून जलमित्र आहे. मी ज्या वस्तीमध्ये राहते ती वस्ती स्लम एरिया आहे.स्लम एरिया म्हंटले की तिथे खूप समस्या असतात.. आमच्या एरिया मध्ये जेव्हा जेव्हा पाण्याचे प्रॉब्लेम आले तेव्हा तेव्हा OCW गरीब जनतेच्या मदतीला धावून आली आणि NMC- OCW आम्हाला स्वच्छ आणि व्यवस्थित पाणीपुरवठा देत आहे. त्याकरिता आमच्या वस्तीतील नागरिक नागपूर महानगर पालिका आणि OCW यांचे फार फार आभारी आहे आज आपण सर्व प्रतिज्ञा करूया कि जल संवर्धनासाठी सर्वांना जागरूक तसेच प्रेरित करू .

मी गेल्या ३ वर्षांपासून मनपा व OCWचा जलमित्र आहे. दरवर्षी आम्हाला जागतिक पाणी दिनानिमित्त आमंत्रित करतात, मार्गदर्शन करतात त्याबद्दल तसेच आम्हाला होणाऱ्या नियमित व स्वच्छ पाणीपुरवठ्याबद्दलदेखील मी नागपूर महानगरपालिकेचा आभारी आहे. एक विनंती आहे कि, लवकरात लवकर सर्वांना २४ तास पाणीपुरवठा सुरु करण्यात यावा जेणेकरून आज भरलेले पाणी शिळे झाले समजून लोक फेकून देतात. मात्र २४ तास पाणीपुरवठा झाल्यास लोक गरजेपुरते पाणी हवे तेव्हा घेतील व पाण्याचा अपव्यय टाळण्यास मदत होईल.
आज हमे अपना नैतिक कर्तव्य समझकर पानी को बचाना होगा| क्योंकि जल ही जीवन है| जल के बिना जीवन की कल्पना भी करना मुश्किल है| भविष्य को सुरक्षित बनाना है तो पानी को बचाना जरूरी है|
पाण्याचा प्रत्येक थेंब महत्वाचा आहे. २४ तास पाणी मिळाले तर ते वाया घालवले जाते मात्र एक दिवस पाणी मिळाले नाही तर तोंडचे पाणी पळते. पाणी योग्य पद्धतीने वापरले व त्याचे योग्य नियोजन केले तर ज्या लोकांना दुष्काळी परिस्थितीचा सामना करावा लागतो त्यांना ही पाणी मिळू शकेल. आमच्या भागात मनपा-OCW स्वच्छ व सुरक्षित पाणीपुरवठा करीत आहेत. त्याबद्दल त्यांचे आभार.
माणसाच्या तीन जीवनावश्यक गरजा म्हणजे अन्न, वस्त्र व निवारा पशु, पक्षी, मानव या निसर्गाच्या प्रत्येक घटकाला पाण्याची गरज आहे. कारण जल आहे तर निसर्ग आहे आणि निसर्ग आहे तर आपण आहोत. मग चला तर मित्रांनो आज एक संकल्प घेऊया थेंबे थेंबे तळे साचे असा विचार करून प्रत्येक थेंब वाचवूया मी माझी जबाबदारी पूर्ण करणार, पाण्याची बचत करणार, पाण्याची बचत करणार!
पाणी वाचवा - पाणी ही मानवाला ,मिळालेली एक अनमोल भेटवस्तू आहे. मानव काही दिवस अन्नावाचून राहू शकतो. परंतु पाण्याशिवाय जगू शकत नाही. पाण्याचा एक-एक थेंब महत्वाचा आहे. म्हणून म्हणतात कि पाणी हेच जीवन आहे.

पाणी कुठल्याही कारखान्यात तयार करता येत नाही. पाणी वाचवणे ही काळाची गरज आहे. पाण्याशिवाय पृथ्वीवरील एकही जीव जिवंत राहू शकत नाही. एके काळी गावांमध्ये नद्या वाहत असत. आता या नद्या सुकलेल्या आहेत. विहिरीदेखील आटल्या आहेत. आता आपण पाणी बाटल्यांमध्ये बघतो. पुढील पिढीला पाणी कुठल्या रुपात पाहायला मिळेल ही शंकाच आहे. त्यामुळे पाण्याचा योग्य वापर करणे ही आजची गरज आहे. सर्व नागरिकांना माझी विनंती आहे कि, येणारी होळी पाण्याऐवजी कोरड्या रंगानेच खेळा.

On the occasion of World Water Day, I would like to proudly share that my organization Wash My Ride has saved approx 10 lacs ltrs of water in last one year by successfully washes buses in a waterless way by saving 99% water traditionely used to wash busese. Additionely we wash car in just 250Ml of water there by saving 99% of water, thereby we saved approx 15 lac lits of water in last one year. Message to all to use as less amount of water as you can in routine activities such as washing vehicles or washing of any kind in general. NMC-OCW I am expressing heartfelt gratitude for the services you are offering to the city

Auden rightly said, “Thousand have lived Without Love, Not one without water.” Thus World Water Day is all about raising awareness about the water crisis. Water is important for many reasons. The human right to water entitles everyone to sufficient, safe, acceptable, physically accessible and affordable water for personal and domestic uses. NMC-OCW are ensuring it in Nagpur. पानी हमारे हरदिन के जीवन में अत्यावश्यक भूमिका निभाता है| पानी के महत्व का अंदाजा आप इसी बात से लगा सकते है की वैज्ञानिक दुसरे ग्रहों पर सबसे पहले जिस चीज को खोजते है वो पानी ही है| हमारी धरती का रंग नीला है इसकी वजह भी यही है की धरती का लगभग तीन चौथाई हिस्सा पानी है| इसीलिए इसे जीवन कहा जाता है| इसी महत्व को उद्घोषित करणे के लिए दुनियाभर में World Water Day मनाया जाता है|
Save Water, Save Life only saying this is not going to solve our problem. We should look at every drop of water as if it is piece of gold bought from my own money. Similarly we should think of ways of reusing water & stop the wastage. I think the one who consciously thinks about saving water, acts to save water is the present day SUPERHERO.

अनावश्यक नळ सुरु ठेवू नका. बेसिनमधला नळ चालू ठेवून दाढी करणे टाळा. बादलीमध्ये पाणी घेऊन अंघोळ करा. शॉवरखाली उभे राहून अंघोळ करणे टाळा. नळाखाली भांडी धुण्याऐवजी बादलीत पाणी घेऊन घासलेली भांडी धुवा. पाण्याचा पुनर्वापर करा.

It is the most precious gift from God so it our duty to use it with lots of care. Proper use of water without any wastage is the demand of present time so please save water and try not to waste it in any manner.
Mother Earth can no longer be Green, without water. Let’s strive to conserve a single drop of water, for our lives and future generation.
पाणी हा पर्यावरणाचा अविभाज्य घटक आहे. जल है तो कल है| आज आपण पाण्याचे संवर्धन केले नाही तर उद्या आपण आपल्या येणाऱ्या पिढीला पाणी फक्त चित्रात दाखवणार का? या जलदिनानिमित्त मनपा-OCW सोबत आपण प्रतिज्ञा करूया पाण्याचा प्रत्येक थेंब वाचवूया.
Water is a symbol of life. It is not just another commodity. We refer to it as Jeevan and must value it at par with life. The NMC-OCW are running a huge system to ensure citizens get safe and sufficient water. We expect that the citizens too use it judiciously and respect the sacred resource.
This World Water Day, let’ pledge to save water because Valuing Water is Valuing Life..
Try to live without water for a day and even just for a few hour. You will realize the value of it. I am glad to have joined hands with NMC-OCW in this noble cause.
Drip, Drop… Drip, Drop wastes huge amount of processed water. Let’s make small efforts to save water from such leakage.

Save water from RO, we all use RO but it wastes a lot of water. Use it efficiently. Use that wastes water to wash utensils, water plants, cleaing floors. Water From washed dal-rice can be used to water plants. These small steps will bring a big change. Start small but start!

The world has seen recently that we can alter our lives to live without everything except food and safe water to lead a healthy life. It is time that we set our priorities right and realize our responsibility and extend support ot the consistent effort of OCW towards creating awareness for judicious use of water.
